Forever the observer, I have been an artist in many forms: poetry, prose as well as photography and interior design.  In visual art, I use a variety of materials and mediums – charcoal, pastels, liquid and solid acrylics and oil with cold wax.  I work on paper, wood panels, gesso and clay board along with flat and wrapped canvas. 

 

Painting, collage, mixed media.  Earlier work incorporated natural elements – sand, leaves, lichen covered bark, stones, shells and found objects, added interest and depth. 

 

My most recent, a study in geometric lines, hard and soft edges.

 

Regardless of medium, my goal: fully immerse in the process to allow the image or aura to surface.  No definitive end in mind.  Working several projects simultaneously, each seem to resist coherence.  Over the course of days…weeks…months, a merging of aesthetics is conceived.
